NDA Exam

National Defence Academy (NDA) is the joint services of armed forces.Degrees available for NDA are BA, B.Sc and B.E. The exam will be administered by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The exam is going to be held on April 19 2020 (Sunday).

Eligibility

Aspirants who wish to give exam of Indian Army must be 16-19 Yrs. They must be 12 class pass or must be appearing for 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent examination conducted by a state education board or a university in any stream.

Those who wish to give exam of Indian Navy & Naval Academy must be 16-19 Yrs. They must be 12 class pass or must be appearing for 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a state education board or a university.

Those who wish to give exam of Indian Air Force must be 16-19 Yrs. They must be 12 class pass or must be appearing for 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a state education board or a university.

Exam information

The NDA exam is going to be held on April 19 2020 (Sunday). It would be a 2.5 hours for each paper. the mode of paper will be offline mode that is pen and paper mode. Paper 1 will be of Mathematics comprising of 120 questions and a total of 300 marks for only math section whereas paper 1 will be of General Ability Test (GAT), English and General Knowledge, comprising of total 150 question and a total of 600 marks. Registration forms have been generated in the month of February. The marking scheme of the exam for paper 1 is +2.5/-0.83 and for paper 2 it is +4/-1.33. Total marks of the exam is 900 marks.

Syllabus

Paper 1 will be of Mathematics comprising of 120 questions and a total of 300 marks for only math section whereas paper 1 will be of General Ability Test (GAT), English and General Knowledge, comprising of total 150 question and a total of 600 marks.
In math section question will be asked from the topics of trigonometry, algebra, differential calculus, vector algebra, integral calculus and differential calculus, matrices and determinants, analytical geometry of two and three dimensions, statistics and probability.
In general ability part A consist of English, part B consist of general knowledge. Here section A consist of physics, section B consist of chemistry, section C of general science, section D of history, section E of geography and section F of current events.

Exam Instructions

1. Check all your admit card information carefully. If you find any wrong details in your admit card, contack the officials as soon as possible.
2. Reach the exam hall well and before 30 minutes before starting of the exam.
3. No mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, IT gadgets are allowed inside the exam hall.
4. The exam center will not be responsible for any of your items.
5. Candidates must carry only black ball point pen.
6. No rough pages should be bought in the exam as rough space will be provided in the question booklet.
7. OMR will be provided to candidates. Be careful in darkening the bubbles.

Issuing Admit Card

Application form for the exam was issued from 4th February 2020. Admit card will be issued just before some days of the commencement of the exam. The admit card will be issued on upsconline.nic.in.
